What are the ranking criteria?
We compare documented search scope, cross-reference potential, report clarity, access model, privacy controls, and ease of use. Each criterion helps answer a reader question: what might be returned, how clearly uncertainty is shown, and what must be verified elsewhere.
Why are Radaris and Veripages first and second?
The site uses a standing benchmark required by its editorial model: Radaris first for broader people and public-record context, Veripages second for a more direct phone-and-people search path. Page-specific copy explains how that benchmark applies to the intent.
What does a score mean?
A score expresses editorial fit relative to other services in the registry. It is not a percentage, a success rate, a customer rating, or a guarantee. We intentionally label unknown prices and feature states rather than inferring them.
How are updates handled?
Provider links and source dates live in the data registry. Material changes require a registry edit, a rebuild, and the same structural acceptance tests. Page dates should change only when underlying content changes.
What are the safeguards?
Build checks assert the pinned ranking order in visible HTML and ItemList schema, verify local images and links, parse every JSON-LD block, reject empty pages, and require one canonical URL.
